Patient Participation Group (PPG)
What is the Patient Participation Group?
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) allows our patients and staff to have an opportunity to discuss different areas relating to the Practice. It means our patients can be more involved and make positive suggestions that could influence the way your health care is provided.
How to Join
We are currently recruiting more patients of the practice to join the group, and we especially need a Secretary to help the Chairman with running the group and to take minutes at the meetings.
We currently meet at the Old Fire Station, opposite the surgery in Shrewsbury Road, usually on a Monday at 1pm but this could be changed in the future.
If you are interested, please contact the Chairman, Marion Law on 01952 462855 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
What can you do as a part of the PPG?
- Provide services/facilities in the surgery (Resource library, Health Promotion Informtion)
- Organise Health Education Sessions for patients
- Help to deliver important health messages
- Assist in getting important patient views
- Use it as a communication tool between the Practice and its patients
Virtual Patient Group
We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.
To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
We will be in touch shortly after we receive your form.
Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.
Many thanks for your assistance
